New Mexico Mainstreet and the Economic Development Department awarded Deming MainStreet in partnership with the City of Deming $35,000 in FY 2019 Capital Outlay Public Infrastructure Funding. This funding was for creation of Construction Documents for our Zia Sun Art-Scape Intersection Project. We hired WH Pacific Engineering to accomplish this. Finalized stamped Construction Documents were received on July 14, 2020, bringing that phase of the project to conclusion.
In January 2021 DMS was awarded $275,000 in New Mexico MainStreet Capital Outlay Funding to complete the project in partnership with the City of Deming who contributed a cash match.
This project is located at the intersection of Gold Ave and Spruce St. in Downtown Deming. Just one block off the interstate!
