
Zia Sun Art-Scape Intersection Project
New Mexico Mainstreet and the Economic Development Department awarded Deming MainStreet in partnership with the City of Deming $35,000 in FY 2019 Capital Outlay Public Infrastructure Funding. This funding was for creation of Construction Documents for our Zia Sun Art-Scape Intersection Project. We hired WH Pacific Engineering to accomplish this. Finalized stamped Construction Documents were received on July 14, 2020, bringing that phase of the project to conclusion.
In January 2021 DMS was awarded New Mexico MainStreet Capital Outlay to complete the project!

Façade Improvement Grant Program – Maries Italian Grill
Building owners at 110 S Silver Ave. (Marie’s Italian Grill) secured a grant from the National Park Service (NPS) Main Street America to do a facade project on the historic National Bank Building in downtown Deming!

Four Continuous Facade Improvement Project
The Deming Luna County MainStreet Program was awarded a New Mexico Resiliency Alliance Grant four a multiple facade project in Downtown Deming!

Gold-Silver Alleyway Connector Project
The Deming Luna County MainStreet Program was awarded a Union Pacific Community Spaces grant to do alleyway renovations to the Gold/Silver alleyway in Downtown Deming. The project will include roadway resurfacing and leveling, placement of strategic overhead lighting, a Mimbres mural, and other artistic accents on dumpsters.

Luna County Sign
The Deming Luna County MainStreet Program was awarded a grant form Keep Luna County Beautiful to install a welcome sign for Luna County (with Deming & Columbus) on the north side of the Starmax parking lot.

Columbus: Placita Park Art-wall
The Deming Luna County MainStreet Program is working with Luna County, the Village of Columbus, and New Mexico MainStreet to complete a community project in the Village of Columbus.
